Beef Meatballs in Tomato Sauce

Ingredients
  

For Meatballs

  • 320 g Minced Beef
  • 1/2 tsp Ginger
  • 1 Pinch Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 tsp Paprika
  • Salt & Pepper

For the Sauce

  • 1 1/3 cup Tomato Passata
  • 1 Medium White Onion
  • 1 Garlic Clove crushed
  • 1/2 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Hot Paprika
  • 1 tsp Dried Oregano
  • 1/2 tsp Dried Basil
  • 1 tbsp Heavy Cream
  • Salt &Pepper

Instructions
 

  • Place minced beef into a bowl and add all the seasoning to it. Mix well and start forming small meatballs in your hands. Set aside. Chop onion into small cube and place into the hot pan with 2 tbsp of olive oil.
  • Cook the onions on medium heat until nice and golden brown. Add your meatballs and cook until slightly brown on each side. Once the meatballs are ready add crushed garlic and give it a minute to release its flavours.
  • Follow with tomato passata and all the spices. Mix everything well together and let it simmer for at least 15 min. Add the cream and season with salt and pepper to taste. if you feel like the sauce is to thick you can add a bit of water to it but just a bit at the time.
  • Serve on top of mashed potatoes and sprinkle of parsley on top (optional).
